It's nice to read some positive news for a change Smile

I'd certainly jump at the chance to volunteer in any future clean ups. It's nice to see that the work of Charlotte and volunteer groups really is making a noticeable difference along this stretch of water.

You could always fill in a volunteers form, and you get kept up to date with the arrangements for clean ups. Only on Sunday myself and HayLin attended a clean up. 20 people were there and we got a lot of rubbish out of the river.

The main thing about the regular volunteers is that most of them are retired and cannot do some of the heavier work. So they do need younger fitter people to register.

You also are not committed to anything, if you can make it - great, if not - see you next time round maybe?

I saw the story on BBC Scotland last night. It's looking as though people may get a good chance of a sighting?

Geez, I have only just read your reply to this post a good few months ago... doh!

I'll nip into the visitor centre the next time I am heading that way and register my willingness. Don't suppose they do quite as many clear ups in the Autumn/Winter though?
