On the River Almond path between Cramond Brig and Almond Dell you need to go up a flight of steps and come back down another flight of steps to negotiate the path. It was between these steps on the high ground that I had an excellent sighting of a white squirrel.

White squirrels where first seen in the Southern Counties of England in 2003, and to my knowledge no one has had a sighting outside of this area.

I am now annoyed that I didn't have my camera with me today, as it would have made a great photo?

Looks like other cachers have spotted the same white squirrel that I seen (or one from the same family) near Almond Dell.

And, according to the same source, in Haddington also. Discerning creatures. Wink
