Is anyone willing to organise a group order to buy some of Kilted Cacher's geocoins? I would do this if I could, but I will be out of the country for the next few weeks.

They cost $8 each. If a group order is made, then there would be a one off shipping charge, otherwise individual orders would be $13 ($8+$5 shipping). Payment is by paypal.

So far, the following have expressed an interest in purchasing the coins:

Naefearjustbeer: 1
Wildlifewriter: 1
Scotsbob: 2
Big Wolf: 2
Jacobite: 2

Once everyone has their request in, let me know and I'll package them up and take it to the post office to get an exact price on shipping. Then you can paypal that amount. This way I don't overcharge or undercharge anyone.

As FOF is doing me a wee favour and taking one of my TB's to OZ I'll rise to the challenge and get this organised. (If nothing else it will be a good opportunity to meet a few of you for the first time to hand over the coins!)

I will contact the person supplying the coins tonight and introduce myself then contact each of those interested tomorrow/Sunday.

Smile

I've emailed The Kilted Cacher, expressing an interest in a group buy of his Kilted Cacher Coins. He mentioned in a prevoius post he we going away for a week, so that gives us enough time to see if any other forum members would be interested in a group buy.

So if we gave it a week from today, then put in an order would everyone be happy with that?

Right......a mental note to myself "don't go away and make a cup of tea while you are in the middle of writing a post, cause another member might be thinking of the same thing as you". Confused

Fair enough - and tks to BigWolf for volunteering (first) to co-ordinate this order.

Just one word to the Wise in advance, folks.. Please do NOT post credit card numbers, paypal account numbers, or any stuff like that on this forum.

This server is not secured for such info: use other channels (or the telephone) for exchanging payment details. Thanks.

I have been in contact with Kilted Cacher and he has up to 50 coins for the group. I need to get back to him before the end of next week and he should post the coins over that weekend. (I have a paypal account so there should be no problem in sending the money to him.)

Could you please email me your contact details or a phone number so that we can arrange the best way is for each of you to get the money to me and then the coins to you. The address to use is angus@mdservice.co.uk

Thanks

The order so far is :-
Naefearjustbeer: 2
Wildlifewriter: 1
Scotsbob: 2
Big Wolf: 2
Jacobite: 2
Firth of Forth :1 (From Kilted Cacher to place here)

I had already ordered a coin from Kilted cacher before the idea of the group order came about, so I will be getting my coin plus the extra one separately. Thanks Big Wolf.

I too had already bought my coin, not realising that the idea had been brought up. Before ordering you should remember that you will also have UK postage to think about, Big Wolf has to send it out to you?

It costs $13 with a paypal exchange rate of 1.71503 this equated to me paying £7.58 for the coin. If it is going to cost more than this or the same, then you have to question whether it is worth having a middle man, or purchasing direct from Kilted Cacher. Which ever way turns out to be cheapest, I still think we are getting a bargain. Very Happy

Well, I have some news about the coins. Before I went to the post office, I went online and calculated postage for sending the coins to the UK and it was $5.00 (US). Once I got to the post office they said the postage would be only $1.60 (US). The $5.00 rate was for business express and would take 4-6 days, where the $1.60 rate would take 4-7 days. Really no difference. So, now with this information you may not want to do a group purchase. It might just be easier to order individually. I will round the new total cost to $10.00 (US) so to cover the paypal fees (I hate these). As for the two who already ordered and paid for the coin. I am sorry I over charged you. If you want to order another, let me know and I'll adjust the cost of the second coin to $7.00, that way you have paid $20.00 for the two coins. Give me a day or two to set up a paypal page for all your orders and I'll post a link here.

Cheers,
Greg

Once I have sold enough coins, I'll turn the page off. Thanks again.
