He was spotted around the next couple of days, but then disappeared. Ewan and I passed his name (if it was the right one!) onto the local police but he didn't appear to be wanted!! |

With his £14.99 dome tent, held down with bricks on the TOP of Cairngorm
Oh Yeah!! Mustn't forget the hair gel that was inside his illustrious tent, although he looked as though he never had a clue what it may be used for?
I have just had a HORRIBLE vision, NO NO!! stop right there HH _________________ Let me know if I say anything that offends you

Whilst doing the first SGDO on Ben Nevis I seem to remember FoF and I passing (or being passed by) a couple of teenage girls who were complaining bitterly but looking forward to the coffee they were going to get at the restaurant at the top!!! |

I think that someone had misled her and told her that she was climbing Snowdon. _________________ Utterly smitten by a Captain

The only time you can take the train up and walk back down is when the snow is on the mountain. It is still 'unoffical' and you need to befriend a group of skiers / snowboarders at the bottom and when asked where your board is, tell the officals you are sharing with them.
Then if you're quick you can walk accross to the runs and head off. It is still advisable to not look too much like a walker, so no crampons or ice axes or they will challenge you, so ski wear is a must.
We only strolled for a bit and went back for a hot choccy, but no guard on the door in the snow, they were postiviely encouraging us to go out on the mountainside _________________ Carol

Can you walk up and get the train down?
Or has Donnie dealt with this in an implied negative? |

At Snowdon you have no bother getting out at the top after taking the train up! However... your wallet will be much lighter - cost us about £50 to do that last year. If we ever do it again then wee man WILL be walking up the mountain, little tired legs or not! |

You can buy what is called a Ski Spectator ticket. Then you don't have to tell stories. Mind you, you can't leave the ski area either..... |
