|I am indebted to WildLifeWriter for pointing me in the right direction, and decided to provide a more detailed explanation of the "easy" way to get the data you want.
In MapSource, open the Contours V2 Map Page using the selection box at the top left of the Mapsource Window. (.....I know "sucking eggs").
Click on the Map Selection tool. Now zoom in or out as required so that you can click on the maps you want to select for downloading.
As your cursor moves over the screen, the individual map names appear in the middle of the message bar at the bottom of the screen.
When you click in a map it will turn pink so that you can see what you have selected and the names are added to the list in the window on the left with the total amount of data showing at the bottom. Click again to remove any map.
Now the clever bit. Zoom out until it shows "30 Miles" at the bottom righthand corner of the screen. Then scroll up or use the "Page Up" Key and Scroll Right until you can see the white (Pale yellow) area to the East of Great Grimbsby above Norwich and East Anglia.
Here you will see 4 faint vertical lines. As you move the cursor over each one it will turn yellow and in the Message bar at the bottom it will display one of the "Essential" items - the POIs (UK Summits, Names, Voids and UK Trig Points". Click on each of the ones you want. You probably do not need Voids.
Note that the whole map now turns pink which is why it is best to get your detail maps first.
For the Irish POI's scroll to the West of Northern Ireland and use the same procedure on the faint lines to the West of the Skerries to get Irish Summits and Trig Points. Note that if you want the Irish and the UK Summits and Trig Points, the UK lines also appear to the West of Iona
Now switch to any of your other Map Products, like City Navigator, that you want to include in the download and select the maps you want from there. Leave some space on your memory card for MapSource to add the "Indexes" to the data. Then "Transfer" the whole caboodle to your GPS.
Note that each time you download, it erases the previous Maps from your GPS, so you must select all the maps you want, from all of your Map Products, into one download.
