More pisspoor journalism on the BBC website. Sad

And if Mr Kelly of the SOC thinks that a ring-necked parakeet can use the same nest holes as tits and nuthatches, he's obviously never seen one.

These same "concerns" (including the stuff about fruit crops) were raised when the birds became numerous in southern England. After several years, there are now more than 5000 of them - and there's been no evidence that any of the forecast disasters have happened.

I saw these birds (well not the SAME birds) in Kensington Park recently, and they are a complete delight. Send them to Glasgow!

I agree! Saw them in a park in Istanbul and they were enchanting!
