Watch out for logs by Archaic Charmer, who appears, some say, to sit in a chair to log caches. Someone who likes anagrams, perhaps? Twisted Evil

I have just used your link, and got 'profile not found' either your link is duff, or Groundspeak have cottoned onto this character and deleted the account?

I prefer to think it is the latter!

I am afraid that it was your link FoF, here is one to his profile - Armchair Cacher?

He has logged caches in Scotland, including a couple of mine, I thought it odd at the time, when he logged A Field of Corn but not A Champion Country?

Both HH & FoF's links work fine in my browser?

The question is: Is this a sock puppet account that a genuine cacher has set up to mess about with or is it just someone else extracting the Michael. Could it be MunrossLass in a different disguise? Suggest someone asks Billy Twigger to see if he sent an email to him re Toot or not?

If no email then it looks like someone messing about but if there is an email then its clearly a sock puppet of someone who has been there in the past.

Either way perhaps Jeremy (or one of his staff) needs to do a bit of mass deletion of log entries.

They wouldn't.

GC.com never, ever intervene directly in disputes over logging issues. With a moment's thought, we can see why: there'd never be an end to it, and a staff of dozens would be needed - full time, mark you - just editing, adjudicating, or deleting logs.

This is solely a matter for the owners of the affected caches, to deal with as they feel is right.

If enough cache owners complained to GC.com (it'd need more than one) Jeremy might suspend the Charmer's account. The problem of course - as Jeremy himself has pointed out - is that these loopers just reappear under a different login name.

Hmmm... can see why they would take no action now you mention it.

I did email asking for the secret answers Cool but I got no reply. (At least I remember asking someone for the details, but as it was via the geocom link, and I never tick for a copy, I have nothing in my e-files to check.)

I'm certain it was Archaic Charmer, because I was suspicious, and I looked at a number of logs. In the end I thought it was simply someone who wasn't altogether sure about what he was doing.
I then promptly forgot all about it. Confused

Archaic Charmer logged a few caches in Northumberland recently and some of the owners of these caches have deleted the logs. I reckon its another chancer along the lines of 'Munrolass', 'Sea Otter UK' and 'Lord Lucan'.

If he/she logs a cache of mine I will delete it if there is no entry in the logbook (and apparently there havent been any entries in the logbooks of those Northumberland caches).

Follow that thought, and I believe you'll come to the real reason behind this nonsense...

...these "finds" may look like a random selection of caches within two fairly restricted areas - but a closer inspection shows that these listings are owned by a lot of different people. Very few owners have been "hit" more than twice.

I suspect that the aim was - and is - just to annoy as many folk as possible. Sad

You know I thought at the time, that this log was an extremely odd thing to say?

As you can see it's been deleted, and so has The Field of Corn!
I guess he should have answered my email?
