On Friday, Jack Aubrey collected his 200th cache at 'Glenan Bay' on the Cowal peninsula. In fact, we had carefully planned it so that the 200th would be '2000 rocks' across the water on the hills above Tarbert, (and indeed celebrated there and at a little Tarbert cafe), but we both undercalculated our cache count on the raid to Bute the previous day. Well done!
It's been fun watching the logs appear from you venture into my home territory. You seemed to have enjoyed it...... but why did you miss out my caches Two to View and Ardcastle Woods ??
I guess you were too busy or just giving yourselves a reason to return!Glad you had fun.

Sorry Dave! We weren't slighting you! We had limited time before catching the last ferry back to Portavadie, so we began in the west and worked our way back. I have climbed Dunardry before a few years ago, so I suppose it seemed more appealing to go to new places. And Ardcastle was just a little too far away to get to. But we shall definitely return one day. _________________ Utterly smitten by a Captain

Congratulations Jack. 200 finds is a worthy number, I know people have found more, but we are still plodding along to our first 100. At this rate, may get there for the summer, real life and work committments are making caching more and more difficult............ _________________ Carol

Hi Jack (used to work somewhere where the two folk that ran the store in the basement were called Jack and Jean - my lab partner used to love going in there and saying "Hijack, hygiene!"). But enough of such wittering....
Congratulations on your second century - hmmm, I wonder why you managed to complete your last hundred MUCH faster than your first hundred!!! Well done indeed!
As you know, I cannot offer you any free samples of Sainsburys wine after my falling out with that precocious Jamie bloke but I can do you a good deal on steel girders if you should ever require them. |

There are unkind people who will say it's all down to drive-by virtuals in DC.....
Sainsbury's wine selection has gone rapidly downhill recently. So I'm working on developing a taste for IRN Bru, which I gather is a downstream product of your latest industrial excursion.....
Thanks for the kind words AB and all
