Here's a trivial, though not very interesting thing...
I'd originally intended to attend the event by taking my car by ferry from Larne on Thurday, returning on Monday. But...
The ferry fares from N.I. are now so outrageous that it's actually cheaper for me to fly to Edinburgh, hire a car for three days, and put fuel in it.
This saves a whole day's travelling, and still leaves me quids in.

Glad someone posted that they didn't understand as well.
I was trying to work out which geocachers are from east fife and who is from Forfar. Am sure there is a simple explanation which will no doubt prove I am missing the obvious _________________ Carol

You can add me to the Fife/Forfar puzzle, was there some sort of football game on?
Wlw, for some reason getting a flight is what I thought you were going to do? Hence why the accommodation that I suggested, I made the comment that it was on the road from the airport. _________________ Let me know if I say anything that offends you

Well, there are 5 new caches around Dundee, courtesy of Team Clova. But I don't think that's got anything to do with it. Still puzzled. _________________ Utterly smitten by a Captain

East Fife 5; Forfar, so far - 4
Nah, I dunno what the freak is on about either...

Sad news; Team Ullium will not be able to attend due to Bills health.
Once again, I am sure we all wish both Bill and Angela all the best. |

Yes, it's a real shame, since Bill had hoped that this would be a chance to meet up with his geocaching pals.
But we will be thinking of him on the day. _________________ Utterly smitten by a Captain

Think I'm missing something. But then I don't 'get' half of what ghiribizzo says anyway.
He does the same as Jack: misses out some of the links. |
Well, since you raise the point, it seems to me the real question of the day is: whatever happened to Second Lanark???

A sad story...
Second Lanark F.C. (the "Two's" to their loyal fans) were always struggling financially, even after the sale of their star winger, Erchie McIrnbru, to Lungs of Midlothian for a reputed transfer fee of £12.50 and a sack o' tatties.
Despite a decent run in Europe, (bye into the second round) they were knocked out by Preston South End, eleven-nil.
After that humiliation, even Roman Abramovich wasn't interested and the club folded. Their historic ground "The Sheugh" is now a Morrison's.

Very sad, I have swapped a few emails with Bill and Angela since the post saying they couldn't come, the last email I got today, made me cry, in fact I am getting upset writing this entry.
Bill however is keeping his head up high, and requests everyone remembers him as he was and not as he is at the moment, which is exactly what I will do. _________________ Let me know if I say anything that offends you

So, this quiz then. I take it that Wlw is the question setter, but who will be the quizmaster/mistress?? Will he/she be as ruthless as Mrs naefearjustbeer? Will there be a nail biting tie this time? Can team Tongue's victory be outdone? Who are Team Tongue? Can the ECG (Edinburgh Cache Gang) outwit them? Too many questions already. _________________ Utterly smitten by a Captain

I was assuming that Big Wolf would do it, with help from me. Or the other way round. It really needs two people to do the thing properly.
Can anyone bring along a whiteboard and easel, so that we can display the running scores...?

I have flipsheets but not a whiteboard. Could pin a large A3 sheet up somewhere perhaps. _________________ Utterly smitten by a Captain
