Has it always been the case that only premium GC.com members can download GPX files? I'm sure that at one time non-paying members could download them individually from the cache page? _________________ I am just going outside, and may be some time!

You're right. At one time, this was possible - even for non-subscribers.
And now it isn't.
Money talks, and this is one of the things it talked about.

Thanks Paul. I've been a premium member for the last two years, and I was sure I was able to download them when I didn't subscribe.
I only noticed it this evening, as my subscription ran out yesterday.
I'm not a regular at the main forum, and had never heard that GC.com had limited this feature. Does anyone know when this came about? _________________ I am just going outside, and may be some time!

I think it's been this way for a good while now.

Well, I'd better renew my membership, I'm missing my weekly PQ's. _________________ I am just going outside, and may be some time!
