There was a request a while ago for a Scottish hilltop cache bookmark list. Well I've set one up here.

I've only added a few - please add to it as you see fit or post here with the comment you'd like and I'll add the cache to the list!

There is a group of caches on Bennachie in Aberdeenshire. They are:

Bennachie Booty- Geoki
Bennachie set no.2- Docdoc
Bennachie set no.3- Docdoc
Hosie's Well- Ben Nevis
In memory of Candy 2- Ben Nevis.

These caches are all at one end of a popular long walk called 'The Gordon Way'. When completed, this will be a 32k/20 mile walk across the Bennachie Range, from Rhynie in the west to the Essons car park (Bennachie Centre)in the east.

At present, it is open from Suie to Essons, a distance of 27k/17 miles.

This can either be tackled as a challenging one day walk or a walk to be undertaken in two stages.

At the other end of this walk is:
Suie Hill Stash- Docdoc.

There are some amazing views along this walk and for that reason i've brought these to your attention.

What a great idea ! Smile

Now I have an office job (i.e no excercise!), I really do want to start tackling long walks such as those with these caches at the end.

Thanks for the lists, those who are adding to it Smile Smile

What's an SGDO? Scottish Geocacher's Day Out?

Anyway I've added those reccomendations (apart from some of FoF's which seem to link to "Vertical Ladder"!) so I'll chase those up later. The list is in now 3 parts: Hilltop, Corbett and Munro. All are interlinked.

Any more suggestions are always welcome!

Yes - a SGDO up The Cobbler! Great idea for the summer. Laughing Cool Or should it be the 3rd highest mountain in Scotland since we've done the 1st, 2nd and 4th??
