It didn't work...so I searched.
If you try to change your profile, it won't accept changes and an error message is displayed.
It appears that it's a conflict not on Geox as such but within the easyphpbb forum setup gubbins at the moment as the founder has indicated...

As far as I can tell, this is now working again.

OK. I've had a chance (for the first time in days) to look into this a bit more.
The facility for members to enter/modify a website link to appear in their profiles has been withdrawn by the hosting Admin. HOWEVER...
What the hosting Admin hasn't yet realised is that this action means any profle which already had a web link in it cannot be changed AND the member concerned has no way of fixing this.
Members without a website link in their profiles (such as Wlw) do not encounter this problem.
This sort of thing happens without notice from time with our hosting service, and I'd prefer not to comment on what I am thinking about it right now. (The alleged link between this feature and spambots is utterly incomprehensible.)
IN THE MEANTIME...
If any member wants to alter anything in their profile, and they are hitting this problem, please let me know and I will remove the existing (and suddenly disallowed) URL. They should then be able to make other edits as desired. Please allow a reasonable time for this to be done, as I am up to the eyes in other matters at the moment.
Regards,
-GxAdmin. |
