Hang on a minute…have I got this right?
This is about going a walk, not a drive, a walk without trying to find a Geocache? Is this possible?
The only walks I go where I’m not looking for a cache are when I’m walking BACK to the car! And even then a DNF spoils it! |

Calm yersel', lad...
... some of us were walking up hill (and even, on occasion, down dale) since the middle of the last century, without finding geocaches.
And when the caching craze has gone the way of hula hoops, S-club7 and Citroen Saxo bodykits, we'll still be doing it.
Someday, in the far distant future, an inquisitive walker will find - under some anonymous pile of stones - a damp, delapidated plastic box containing two seashells and a golf ball. Reading the mildewed card within, he'll say to himself:-
"That's the daftest idea I ever heard of...."

I admit to being momentarily tempted by the idea. Having watched the BBC series Coast, and having been assailed by their repeated “We’ve created several new walks around the coast, some with a mobile experience” ???

Some seem quite interesting, but how do you log your visit?
How can you measure how successful you are as a walker if you can’t get a total? |

...And even further into that distant future, a geologist will be puzzling over the layer of polyethylene sandwiched between the sediments of the 21st century. Asteroid impact from the planet Supermarket???
