As you are now aware my computer is now back up and running, but my keyboard isn't 100%!!
To type in a @ I have to use the " key and vice versa. As you may realise this can be a bit of a pain when trying to write email address's and then trying to send. Does anyone know how I can change the keys back to the correct place please? _________________ Let me know if I say anything that offends you

Nope that doesn't help I am afraid, as I know where the keys should be, but these two are in the wrong place. _________________ Let me know if I say anything that offends you

Have you reinstalled the drivers for the keyboard?
You could try restarting in Safe Mode, removing the keyboard drivers using the Device Manager then restarting.
XP should reinstall the drivers automatically.
This MAY sort the problem...
If this means nothing, probably best not to bother! |

The keyboard has defaulted to Windows original setting which is US. You need to change it back to UK, but for the life of me I can' remember how to do it.
Someone who is more computer literate than I am should be able to explain how to do it. |

In Control Panel (Start -> Run: control), look for icon which looks like a globe
and double click it.
Select second tab from the top, click first button from the top.
Now you should be able to change the language of keyboard. |

That has done the trick, thanks to everyone for their advice. _________________ Let me know if I say anything that offends you
