I have reinstalled my PC and I am trying to put contours back on .My only problem that I don’t have a mapsource product and last time I downloaded the Mapsource from Garmin and followed a guide that showed you how to hack the registry so that mapsouce thought it was already loaded. Unfortunately I can't remember the guide! Can anyone help?3

Hi wizzo, welcome to the forum.
I'm afraid that as far as technical issues go I am no help to you. I wouldn't have thought that asking someone in an open forum on how to hack the registry of a programme is the best way forward.
I may however be wrong, and if I am I hope you get the help you need? _________________ Let me know if I say anything that offends you

There are a number of utilities (some DOS-based) which allow compatible maps in IMG file form to be loaded into Garmin GPS units.
Modifying the Windows registry to do what you suggest would require a complete knowledge of the Mapsource-related registry structure. This structure is complex and involves multiple registry keys, both new and modified.
Although this is technically possible, like HH I would not suggest such a course - both for ethical and technical considerations.
