I have now received the version 2 update from our guru programmer and have uploaded it to the SMC web site. There is a new button on the home page marked Contour Maps, so it's now very difficult to get lost! |

The link to file v2n5758.zip seems to be broken. Also the coast around north of Scotland and to the north of The Wash seems to be missing. Notwithstanding these teething problems this new version looks to be a big improvement over v1 and I look forward to using it. |

Hi all,
Links to files sorted - I'm not too bright this week due to a bug (human)! |

Any chance of a .jpg or something? - I can't see any problems on my version, although the 'solid polygon' ocean does run out around 60N, so Shetland just has an outline. The rest looks fine.
Is this a problem on Mapsource, or ont he actual GPS handset? (I must admit to not having loaded those areas onto my handset - not got space for the whole UK!). |

The Hull .img seems somehow stuffed - it is not directly clickable in Mapsource, but if it gets selected somehow by choosing the whole UK, then the transfer to the GPS bombs out with a "reinstall your product" error. If I delete Hull, then I can transfer the rest of the UK just fine. |

The new link for northern Scotland has sorted the problems there. Agree with Redshift that the Hull tile seems to be corrupted. You requested a .jpg - could you advise how to do this please. |

I think there are a couple of .img files missing. Should there be 14000053 and 14201053 or something like that? |

Perhaps I should have waited a week until my head was clear - missing file (14201053.img) now reinstated into zip file. Apologies again. And don't worry, I'm not going near a car or a mountain until I feel better! Any more errors please post 'em here.
P.S. Original content submitted to me does not contain a 14000053.img file |

That's solved it. Thanks for your help. Hope you return to A1 health status very quickly. |

A couple of screenshots to appreciate the work that Dave (and everyone else) has put into this...
This comparison is from my iQue 3600. Contours 1.2 with City Select Eur V7 (left), as compared to Contours v2, with City Navigator Eur V8. (right)
Even at this reduced scale, it's easy to see the smoother and generally better "behaved" contour lines, and a local reservoir is now visible. CNEurV8 contributes the very minor roads (green) in this hilly area, and some improved labelling.
A great job all round.
Thanks, Dave.
