Now I have to admit my experiences of gluing things runs along the lines of.....
apply glue
push together
clamp and wait
open clamp and watch bits fall apart again!
I am keen to emulate some of the magnetic micro caches I have done recently and am wondering if you could share your glue and magnet techniques?
Thanks,
Dave |

On seeing the title I thought, WAYHAY a naughty topic!! Alas I was wrong?
How about trying self adhesive sticky fixers?

I haven't personally tried fixing magnets to micro caches though I'd be fairly confident that 'Gripfill' adhesive would do the job.
It is an extremely strong adhesive used in the building trade. It comes in long tubes and is quite cheap (£3 approx). It's worthwhile having around home as it sticks most things to most things!
It can be bought at any builders supplier, B&Q, etc. |

It depends on how "micro" your micro is to be, -but if its 35mm film container size, get a REALLY strong magnet and glue it to the inside.
That way the glue stays out of the reach of the elements and the magnet is always pulling against the glue and the container.
For a really strong magnet, go to ebay and search for Neodymium
You could google "bondage techniques" -but you'll just get stuck! |

Great tips.
I've found this site for magnets. I've got no-one to compare their prices to but its free p&P.
http://www.magnetic-paper.com/
I was looking at some of the sheet magnets and the possibilities they might give......
