|
|
I've been contacted by some cachers who are teachers in Californian teachers, visiting Edinburgh in July, who would like to pass on some TBs created by their school pupils with various individual missions en route back home.
I thought it would be a good idea to organise a small event in a local pub to welcome them and give the TBs a chance to get into as many people's hands as possible.
I would welcome some ideas about suitable venues - thinking that any location in the city centre may be very busy in July - possibly more down towards Leith since they are staying near top of Leith Walk.
Possible dates are early evening of Friday July 20th or Sunday July 22nd. Ideas welcome please! _________________ Utterly smitten by a Captain

What was that pub we went to on the very first CITO event?
Sadly I'm not available for those dates, working night shift all that weekend. _________________ Let me know if I say anything that offends you

An event is likely to take place to welcome cachers from across the pond on Friday July 20th - time yet to be determined. Likely to include an opportunity to walk out to the caches on Cramond Island if I can get the tide times to cooperate! _________________ Utterly smitten by a Captain

I might be able to make a walk on the Friday as I don't start until 9pm that night. _________________ Let me know if I say anything that offends you

You'll be able to make the event as well since the tide times mean it's likely to be a lunchtime/early afternoon event. _________________ Utterly smitten by a Captain

I should be able to make both the walk out to Cramond Island and the event _________________ "Failure lies not in falling down. Failure lies in not getting up." |

I hope that both HH and Brave Defender will still be able to make this event which I have just sent off for publication, but I have had to change the day to the Saturday to fit in with the US visitors travel plans (hadn't appreciated that they don't arrive until early Friday afternoon). Still will be a walk to the island in the morning and a meet at the Inn at lunchtime. I will post a link when the event is published. _________________ Utterly smitten by a Captain

Afraid not, I will be in my bed as I would have done a night shift the night before and going back onto night shift that night. _________________ Let me know if I say anything that offends you

The annoying thing is, that I am on holiday a few days later. I gave up the time off on the night shifts so that a colleague could get time off. _________________ Let me know if I say anything that offends you
