Hi,
I have a travel bug (TB29KX0) that has gotten a bit confuddled.
It was retrieved from a cache in California, USA and dropped off in a TB hotel in Frankfurt, Germany (GCHWM1) The cacher, dw, then left a note on the TB page saying he'd actually dropped it in to a different TB hotel at Frankfurt airport and asked if i could move its virtual position into the correct cache (GC17134) which i did by retrieving* it then placing it in the correct cache.
*should i have grabbed it?
The following day the TB was found by Racontuer in Kos, Greece so it was grabbed and placed in the cache he found it (GC1WK2D - Thank you wind) and then retireved it - i presume it is still physiscally in his/her hands
Today, however, Ziaepf has grabbed the TB from the first Frankfurt TB hotel and placed it in GC1WK2D - Thank you wind.
So the TB is physically in the hands of a cacher but virtually back in the cache in which they found it.
Hope all that makes sense. The TB page doesn't show the actual chronological order in which things happened.
Do i need to do anything to fix this or do i just let it sort itself out?

p.s. just noticed there are three cachers watching the listing for my TB now so i think everyone who has had hands it recently is waiting to see something happen! |

Has the TB gone missing at any point and a second copy been sent out? _________________ Let me know if I say anything that offends you

no, it is simply a case of people taking it from one cache and placing it in another, but not logging it on GC.com - presumably as they are travelling and didn't have the chance to do it straight away - in this case Ziaepf took it from a TB hotel in Frankfurt and placed it in Thank You Wind in Kos, Greece but before they had a chance to log it on gc.com Racontuer had found it in Thank You Wind, grabbed it, logged it in Thank You Wind then retrieved it as you normally would. Ziaepf then logged what thye had done.
result - TB physiscally in the hands of Racontuer but virtually back in Thank You Wind. |

In that case I would probably send an email to Racontuer asking them to retrieve it again and then see what happens! _________________ Let me know if I say anything that offends you

seems to be sorted now. The TB is back in Racontuers hands both physically and virtually. |
