I just thought this may be useful to someone:
When I had my Garmin eTrex H connected to the PC for transferring waypoints and tracks, I ran the webupdater and installed the latest firmware (version 3.10). This fixed an irritating bug that I had noticed occasionally. When changing batteries or switching the eTrex off/on, sometimes the trip distance would gain about 3000miles. Now it seems to be completely cured.
So whatever your GPSr, it's worth checking for updates from the manufacturer. |

It's years since I last updated my trusty Geko 201, so thanks for the reminder. Dunno if it will make any difference as my Geko was fine before hand. _________________ Let me know if I say anything that offends you
