Not sure if anyone else has seen this:
http://www.midgeforecast.co.uk/2008/
Its a new midge forecast that will be updated daily.

Its intended for bluetongue surveillance, but I think its useful for west coast caching trips.

JackieC Very Happy

I've seen this before, but never found it useful.
It always says the my area is level 1 (negligible levels), try sitting on my patio one hour before sunset, and you'll soon find out how negligible the little blighters are Twisted Evil

maybe the wee buggers haven't seen the forecacst, try putting a monitor on the patio with the web page showing, that way they can see that all their mates are supposed to be somewhere else and they'll go and join the perty:P
