I am not able to determine which posts are new, all topics appear as having been read. _________________ Tooey

That has happened to me before. I think I solved it by clearing my computers cache browser. No that isn't on GC.com!! _________________ Let me know if I say anything that offends you

Well I didn't clean my cache or do anything else, the problem seems to have been resolved. So whoever, whatever, is responsible - ta muchly _________________ Tooey

This is almost always a local browser problem.
The forum software does not keep track of which posts you have read (this would be very difficult to implement) but it does stamp each item with an incrementing number.
Your own browser uses these numbers and associated cookies to 'keep track' of which items have been read.
Possible causes could be...
a) Browser cache full (as suggested by HH)
b) Browser not accepting or refreshing cookies.
c) Interference by security software, which is not operating correctly.
d) More than one browser being operated on the same machine at different times. (This is my own favourite, and can cause all sorts of unpredictable behaviour. Stick to Firefox.)
e) None of the above.
